  2017 FREE Educational Workshops

Thanks to a grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) we will be hosting a series of 4 educational workshops over the next several months. We are in the planning process and information is constantly being updated. Below is our current information. More detailed descriptions of the workshops.

September 16, 2017 - Watershed Decisions for Students & Their Families. This hands-on workshop is geared toward youth 12 to 18 years old. It will be lead by Penn State Extension, Watershed Youth Development Educator, Jennifer Fetter. The workshop has been designed by Jen to help older youth and adults to better understand water quality issues surrounding small watersheds and the decision making processes that go into improving water quality issues. October 4, 2017- Greening Our Cities & Towns. Presented by Thomas Hylton, Pulitzer Prize Winning Author and Conservationist. This workshop explores the many ways that trees can transform the livibility of our cities and towns. Location: Appalachian Brewing Company, 50 N Cameron St, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
